Deposits & Payments

All deposits are non-refundable and non-interest bearing. A deposit worth 50% of the license fees is due two weeks after confirmation of date. All dates must be either confirmed or released two weeks after receiving a cost estimate.  

The balance of the rentals fees plus an estimate of labour and additional expenses is due 2 weeks prior to the first day of the engagement.  A final settlement will be made within 30 days following the final day of the engagement.  If a confirmation deposit is not paid by the deadline, the hold will be cancelled and the first deposit payment will be forfeited. 

A final settlement will be conducted by the theatre manager no more than 30 days following the final day of the engagement.  If there is outstanding balanced owed to the MNjcc payment will be due upon receipt.  Reimbursement cheques for overpayment of staffing costs will be made payable to the producing company and will accompany the final settlement statement.

Other Important Information

All user groups are required to provide a certificate of general liability insurance that specifically names the Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre as additional insured.  The liability insurance should be in the amount of $2 million per occurrence. 

Exclusive use of the theatre - for multi-day use the inability to strike the technical set-up or scenery after each performance is subject to availability and extra cost. 

All rates are subject to change without notice. 

There will be a 15% administration change for any special equipment rentals required by the user group, which must be arranged through the Technical Director.

If the user group requires no seats in the auditorium, there will be an additional $200.00 charge (this does not apply to social events).

Resources (such as linens, tables or chairs) are limited for social events.  Please contact the theatre for specific details.
