Booking the Theatre

Al Green Theatre is a 288 seat multi-use facility inside of the vibrant Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre. Located at the corner of Bloor Street and Spadina Avenue in Toronto, we are fullly accessible by both subway lines, with ample parking and a number of great shops and restaurants close by.

The AGT is available for rental year-round. Our friendly and professional staff is always ready to assist you with all your rental needs.  Since the fall of 2003 we have hosted a wide array of events including theatre, dance, music, film, lectures, conferences and film shoots.  Become a part of the Al Green Theatre community and let us host your next event.

Tech Specs

This proscenium arch theatre has a stage with a sprung floor that is roughly 30 feet wide by 28 feet deep and a maximum seating capacity of 288.

Whether you wish to have our technical staff create the right lighting look for you, or you wish to bring in your own designer we can accommodate all of your lighting needs.

With a 16 channel digital effects audio console, full speaker and monitor system, ever-growing microphone stock, and professional projection equipment the Al Green Theatre can accommodate events of various sizes and styles.

Front of House

Our friendly front of house staff is here to support you in achieving a professional, smooth running event.  Your patrons are our patrons and the AGT front of house team will ensure they have an extraordinary customer experience.

A front of house team consisting of one front of house supervisor and three ushers is required for all public events.  This highly trained staff is responsible for the safety of the patrons and will ensure that all aspects of front line service are conducted efficiently and professionally.

Box Office

Al Green Theatre offers flexible options for running your box office.  We can provide full box office service including in-person, phone and online sales or you can manage your ticket sales yourself.  It’s completely up to you.

If you wish to manage your own ticket sales you will be provided with a space to sell tickets and conduct ticket pick up the day/evening of your event, either at a table in the main lobby or through our box office widow also located in the main lobby.  For consistency of service we ask that the box office opens one hour before each presentation in the theatre and remains open until one-half hour after the start of each presentation.
